These exam preparation sessions will support candidates taking the AMTRA qualifications in order to become an SQP. An SQP is an animal medicine advisor, known by the legally defined term “Suitably Qualified Person”. An SQP must pass a set of exams to demonstrate animal health knowledge and an understanding of the legal system.

Run over a number of workshops, students will need to attend the relevant sessions for their chosen pathway. You will receive notes and will be expected to complete exercises throughout the sessions. These training sessions are designed to complement the information provided by AMTRA when you register for the qualification and will help you learn your way around the syllabus ahead of your chosen exam sessions.

As an introductory offer we are offering the Revision Sessions for FREE, if you complete the exam preparation module with us.

Please note that candidates must register directly with AMTRA for their exams and must pay AMTRA for this separately before attending this training – information on how to do this can be found on AMTRAs website - https://www.amtra.org.uk/becoming-an-sqp/book-an-exam/

Meet the tutor

Sally Harmer is a R-SQP and has worked on the supplier side of the industry for about 20 years – latterly 16 years with Pfizer. She then worked as the Animal Health manager with CCF Ltd based in West Wales for 6 years with considerable success and growth in the sector. They had nearly 50 SQP’s in the business so training and supporting staff was an important part of growing the business. Having left CCF at the end of 2016 Sally started working for herself doing project work and providing technical support to accounts.

Sally was then asked by AMTRA to co-ordinate SQP training courses in the North of England and Scotland because there was a training need, with no colleges running courses at the time. There is now a course based at NR Training for which Sally delivers the training.  Since then Sally has been asked to run other AMTRA courses all over the UK. I sit on the Veterinary Products Committee which oversees the VMD, AHDA and the Moredun.  I have a City and Guilds Training certification.
