The NR Training School of Horticulture on the
Newton Rigg Estate

It has been a privilege to have our Horticultural Base at Lowther Castle & Gardens for the last few years and we thank everyone at Lowther for their support.

We are delighted to be going back to our roots on the Newton Rigg Estate to start developing a new horticultural educational teaching facility.

With over 120 years of horticultural experience between them, the team are here to guide and support you on your own journey into this inspiring and exciting sector.

As practicing horticulturalists they will share their up to date industry knowledge and skills with you: their enthusiasm and passion for all things green is infectious and you will soon be captivated by their natural world. Find out more about each of the team in their biographies, below.
